At 10K registered subscribers

Sometimes on Sun Nov 27, 2022, my blog reported that the number of registered subscribers surpassed 10,000. This is not a huge number by the current social media standards, but this number has humbled me as it means that at least a few thousand actual real flesh and blood people hit subscribe on my blog site.

I have no way to tell how many of the accounts are automated machines and I do not intend to bother real people that subscribed with pointless questions just to find out.

As I’ve outlined on the Readme page the last thing I will do is waste your time with meaningless actions.

I’m preparing a few more posts, one is about a concept that I called MCC or Macro Composite Consciousness, and a few are about the concept of Self-Reliance and the Exoverse hypothesis. If possible I’ll publish the MCC article at the end of 2022 and the SR articles are to be expected in 2023.

Unfortunately writing blog articles is a secondary activity done when I can find the time to do it. My full-time job and my family (including my dog Mocha) take up most of my time, but I’ll definitely try to find some time to finish those important articles (important at least in my mind that is).

I would like to humbly thank you for taking interest in my writing and I promise not to overwhelm you or disappoint you (this last one is the hardest promise to keep).

2020 Articles and Drafts and what may be coming in 2021 in this blog

A short retrospective about the published articles and ideas during 2020 and some predictions about what you should expect to see here in 2021

As I’ve outlines in the Read Me First page this blog is not a daily blog but rather an idea sharing blog. This means that (in general) I’m trying to produce a minimal number of articles and try focus only what I believe (is my blog) really matters. This way I’m trying to reduce the overall information pollution out there on the internet. Feedback that will help improve the quality of the site will always be welcome!

From this perspective, the ideas I’ve explored during 2020 were around “Real Facts“, “COVID-19 Pandemic“, “Humility as a tool“, “Police brutality“. In addition I’ve published a hypothesis on the overall picture of the place we live in and postulated that there is more “out there” than just the “Real” and “Imaginary” and I’ve called this space the “Exoverse”. There is a lot of my activity on the Exoverse on twitter, please see the diagram bellow.

About the drafts I’ve worked on during 2020 but did not published. I’ve drafted ~14 articles during 2020 that remain in unpublished state and I hope some of them will get published during 2021 (in addition to potential new ones might come my way during 2021). 5000+ subscribers threshold crossed

Sometimes today morning Oct 3, 2020 the number of subscribers on this blog crossed the threshold of 5000.

I thank you all of my subscribers for your interest in my blog and as I’ve described in the “Please read first” page, I promises to do all I can to provide you with the truth as I know it and hope it will be useful for you in improving your own lives.

RIP: John Nash, another “Beautiful Mind” gone

John Nash and his wife Alicia have died in a car accident.
I’ve learned about Jon Nash and his accomplishments in mathematics and game theory from the Hollywood movie “A Beautiful Mind” as many other of us.
That is why I’ll use some of the scenes I found favorite and touching. Of course the movie introduce images of actions which never happened exactly like that in the reality, but that is not the point. The point is to make the deep thoughts this man acquired about our reality available to all of us, a window and a chance to understand them and to help build better lives for each of us.

My today’s Hero Kaci Hickox and all frontline workers on Ebola

A nurse, front line worker, who treated Ebola patients in Africa was put in isolation for 21 days in conditions close to the ones in a prison, because of our collective irrational fear.

This irrational fear acted and reacted in many ways and as with any fear, it will only hurt us all on long term. So, why governor Cristie put Kaci in prison? Because he’s a rough politician? I’d say he did it as a response to the average street level citizen (like myself) who rushes to conclusions and uses ignorance instead of knowledge, to “demand action”, that’s it, “do something” we say, and politicians which are fearful of loosing their power (and being most likely as ignorant as any of us) rush to take populist decisions which in the end will hurt us all. So, in a nutshell we kick out own asses!

Hooray for the ignorance! Now all front line workers will thing more than twice, before going to battle the invisible enemies which we fight for long time. Next all people travelling from places where outbreaks happen will, take their chance and lie to avoid being treated as criminals and that my friends, is not going to make us safer.

Maybe, just maybe, we should pause and think. THINK DAMN IT! Before panicking. And… let’s get out of that TSS (Temporary Stupid State) we all find ourselves in, from time to time!

To the bureaucrats who took this decision, a suggestion, please subject yourself to the same conditions as you imposed to those people! I would normally include caring for an Ebola patient first, but it would be in vain, so just do the quarantine and use a tent to do your daily necessities. We will watch…

Jodorowsky’s Dune

As a present to my birthday, my daughter Anda invited me to see this documentary about a movie which could have been bigger than StarWars, before StarWars, the “JODOROWSKY’S DUNE”.

The movie was played at the TIFF and bellow is the YouTube preview on it.

Very interesting and I could only think what Jodorowsky (IMDB) could have done those days with the CGI capabilities and power of KickStarter for crowd financing.

Is hard to tell what could have been, I’ve seen the one made by David Lynch and the Children of Dune sequel and they are good movies, maybe not great but good. Clearly there is a lot of potential in visualising Herbert’s saga.

It really makes me proud as I was born not so far away from Iasi.
